To ensure that the educational program reflects the interests of the children, staff and parents our program is based on Emergent Curriculum.  Emergent Curriculum emphasises the planning needs that emerge from the children and adults as they work together through out the day.

Within emergent curriculum the children’s interests become the basis of the educational program, which allows the focus of the program to change as the children’s interests change, develop and mature.  To cater for the natural spontaneity of children, the program is completed on a daily basis rather than weekly or monthly.

Emergent Curriculum arises from the children’s interests, the environment, resource material, living together, teacher interests, the community, unexpected events and from the values and cultures of the children and staff.
