Developmental Records

Each child has an individual Developmental Portfolio in which staff record observations of your child, photographs of your child at play and samples of work.  The purpose of the portfolio is to show a progression of each child’s development over their time at Shorebreakers.  Parents are encouraged to regularly look at their child’s portfolio and to record any ideas, suggestions or comments about their child or the portfolio. Portfolios are kept in the children’s room and are available to the children and parents at all times.  We ask that parents respect the privacy and confidentiality of other parents by ONLY looking at the portfolio, which belongs to your child.
